Anaconda: A Rainha da Selva (2026) picks up deep in the Amazon rainforest, where an elite bio-research team ventures to investigate a string of unexplained disappearances and seismic anomalies. Leading the expedition is Dr. Ethan Cole (Chris Pratt), a former wildlife tracker turned conservationist, and Dr. Helena Vasquez (Scarlett Johansson), a brilliant herpetologist with a personal obsession—her mother vanished in the jungle two decades ago during a similar mission.
Early in the film, the team uncovers ancient ruins buried beneath the forest floor. Among them are carvings that tell the legend of “A Rainha da Selva”—The Jungle Queen—an enormous, intelligent anaconda worshipped for centuries by lost tribes. The myth becomes horrifyingly real when the expedition discovers an enormous snake scale larger than a human torso, and soon after, one of their crew is dragged screaming into the night.
As tension rises, the jungle seems to respond to the snake’s presence: storms rage, animals flee, and paths vanish. The Queen Anaconda—far larger than any creature known to science—is not just a predator, but a force of nature guarding something buried deep below. Helena begins to unravel a shocking truth: the snake is biologically immortal, part of a hidden ecosystem older than the rainforest itself. Its presence isn’t random—it’s defending an ancient secret tied to the origin of the Amazon and possibly the future of humanity.
One by one, the team is hunted. With nowhere to run, Ethan and Helena are forced to work together, using fire, traps, and their knowledge of nature to survive. In the film’s explosive climax, they confront the serpent in the ruins during a lightning storm. Helena risks everything to protect what the Queen guards—and in doing so, makes a harrowing discovery about her mother’s fate.
